How high off the ground do you put the hook to hang a rope hammock . The style with the wood pieces

Usually as high as you can reach.
It depends on the width too, so best just get a helper to hold the rope and try it out.

Hammock stands are only about 36"high
Just place hooks so that it is comfortable to lie in & high enough to get in & out.

It depends how far the hooks will be away from each other when you hang the hammock. You need to hold the hammock from each of the points where you will be putting the hooks and see what looks right to you. Usually 3 feet is a good height.
